Level Up Collective has been engaged by an Australian miner to recruit a range of roles for its flagship asset in NSW. This tier one asset packs a lot into one site. Currently undergoing expansion works, the open pit and soon to be underground operation provides great opportunities to flex your technical and operational muscles.
Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you’ll provide contract sourcing and commercial support across the whole operation. This includes establishing the strategy, sourcing and overseeing the full contract lifecycle, delivering an agile service for a rapidly developing operation.
About you
You’ll be an experienced contracts specialist, ideally with exposure to the mining or heavy industry-type sector. A a track record leading and managing the full contract lifecycle from sourcing and tendering, through to negotiation and sign-off, working with a wide range of external suppliers and vendors, is essential.
This is a great opportunity, where you can have significant commercial impact but allows you to work autonomously using your influencing, interpersonal and collaboration skills to get things done.
Why work for this organisation?
Everyone in the organisation, whether in a corporate office or onsite, an operator or a manager is encouraged to act like an owner. When we visited this operation, we asked a wide range of people what they enjoyed most about working at this operation. There were very consistent themes – friendly, collaborative, autonomous, complex, dynamic, accountability, safety-first, and a continuous improvement orientation.
This is a great opportunity to work in a tier one asset combined with the work/life balance of a residential/DIDO with a great local town, and nearby to so many great areas in NSW. The town is family friendly, with three well-resourced primary schools, a high school and a TAFE. There is an impressive array of sporting facilities, boutique shops, great restaurants and pubs, and community groups not often seen in a town of this size.
Most of the roles have flexible rosters (8/6 or 5/2/4/3 being most common), which opens the opportunities to those who may prefer not to relocate their families, or who may want to live further afield in places like Wagga Wagga, Canberra or even Sydney.
This organisation has a diverse and inclusive culture. They are open to amending rosters and adjusting key criteria for the right person. If you’re interested in this this but don’t fit ALL the criteria, reach out and let’s have a chat about how it may work!
To be considered for this role you must have Australian work rights.
