Apply for this role

By Level Up Collective January 17, 2023
Level Up Collective is delighted to be working in partnership with a mid-tier Australian miner to recruit a wide range of roles for its flagship asset, largely driven by expansion works. We’re working with their Commercial, Mining, Integrated Planning, Processing and Maintenance departments. More information on the specific roles can be found at https://www.levelupcollective.co/jobs . As an employer, they've really embraced flexibility - rosters, working from home, skill sets and experience levels. Every role is different - if in doubt, get in touch! The Operation The first metal was poured ~15 years ago. Exploration, plant expansion and development of a new mine has extended mine life significantly and are all key to increasing annual production. This tier one asset packs a lot into one site. There is complexity irrespective of the department you work in. One engineer said he’s learnt more in a year than five years at Rio. Your technical and operational skills will be tested and rapidly developed but with supportive leadership and coaching from your manager, colleagues within your team as well as other departments that you collaborate with. Having secured government approvals, the site is undergoing significant expansion and will soon operate open pit and underground. The increased technical complexity provides interesting and diverse opportunities that can sustain and expand your career for years to come. The Location Based in Central NSW, this is predominantly a residential site for those that want to embrace the lifestyle opportunities by living in the local town. There is an abundance of services and facilities that many larger towns don’t have access to. There is a large sporting community with an impressive array of facilities encompassing ALL codes of football, netball, tennis, basketball, cricket and an 50m outdoor pool with waterpark facilities, open all year round. Many staff partake in water-based activities – boating, fishing, kayaking etc. For the more creative, there is a thriving arts scene that caters to adults and children. Did I mention the cinema? The town is very family friendly, with access to well-resourced primary schools (three) and a high school. Other high schools are accessible in the broader Shire area. The new TAFE offers a range of in-person courses. There are several mothers’ groups, as well as early childhood centres and after-school care options, catering for a range of ages. Most of the roles we’re working on have flexible rosters (8/6 or 5/2/4/3 being the most common), which opens the opportunities to those who would prefer not to relocate. Tax effective housing is available on a shared, single or family-sized basis. Fatigue management is a consideration so driving to Darwin might not be an option! The Culture & Benefits Everyone in the organisation, whether in a corporate office or onsite, an operator or a manager is encouraged to act like an owner. LUC asked a wide range of people what they enjoyed most about working at this operation. There were very consistent themes – friendly, helpful, autonomous, complex, dynamic, accountability, safety-first, continuous improvement mindset. Some organisations are hierarchical and structured with mature systems and processes that generally mean you “stay in your lane”. This operation is not that. Most people agreed that more maturity is needed in the systems and processes, but that wouldn’t negate the need for people to be agile, innovative and collaborative. The Benefits Our client continues to evolve its salary and benefits offering to ensure they remain competitive in the sector but also reflective of the work/life arrangements (residential or DIDO, not FIFO). The benefits package is comprehensive and depending on the role, there are short and/or long term incentives. To be considered for these roles you must have Australian work rights. If you’d like to speak to someone before submitting your information, please email Maryke at [email protected] or Anna at [email protected] .
